More Gingerbread Cookies for Christmas

Last night was as much fun as always. I am yet to have a class that does not enjoy decorating cookies for Christmas.
We covered some cookies with fondant and others with royal icing. Both looks are amazing.
One of the girls will be using her new skills to make cookie place cards for her table on Christmas day. Great idea Pia!

More Vintage!

Tala Cookie Cutters, made in England. These belonged to my Mother-in-Law. Still in their box...amazing!
I can't wait to use them. Not sure what to use the hatchet to celebrate!

Vintage Cookbooks

As you may have noticed, I am rather partial to all things vintage-espicially mid-century.
This a a gorgeous book.
I dream of spending a Sunday afternoon baking from it!

Pink Ribbon Cupcakes

Sorry about the poor quality of the shot.

We produced boxes of these cakes as a donation to a Pink Ribbon GIRL'S NIGHT IN.

The boxes of pretty cakes were sold as part of the fundraiser. I'm told they dissapeared almost as quickly as they hit the table.

Never underestimate the power of a pretty cupcake!

CHRISTMAS FRUIT CAKE

'Tis the season to get baking!

Fruit cake and Christmas go hand in hand for me. My mother baked a fruit cake every Christmas. The fruit would be carefully mixed and drenched in brandy before being set aside for weeks to bathe. A beautifully baked, rich fruit cake topped with neatly arranged almonds-bliss.

Remember to choose the best dried fuit. Don't be afraid to mix things up a little. How about adding craisins to your mix this year?

Little fruit cakes covered in white icing make lovely gifts. Thoroughly washed large tuna tins are a perfects size and easily procured. We have a large range of decorations to finish your cakes as well as small cake boards and Christmas cellophane.

CHRISTMAS DECORATIVE COOKIES

"It's starting to feel a lot like Christmas....!"
My favourite time of year to bake and decorate. The girls did great things with gingerbread angels, snowflakes and baubles.
We had mauve, blue and even, pink snowflakes. Our angels were intricately piped and finished with sparkly sugar.
Boxed or placed in individual cellophane bags these handmade fancies make great gifts!
